Abstraction, and My Body

Katia Meisinger is an abstract artist that focuses on using the sub-conscious, found objects, and her fat body as a tool. Narrative, material, personal and global issues all play a part in her artwork. More recently the work has become more performative and explores the invisible plus size body, imprints and actions silently left behind. As well as, exploring vulnerable through personal endurance and the viewer's willingness to also endure.
